The woman, who is also a teacher, was arrested last week in Houston, Texas after putting her baby boy in a boot of  her car for fear of contracting the COVID-19 virus, according to various media reports. 

 

Sarah Beam, 41, and the mother of the 13-year-old is being charged with felony criminal mischief for puting her boy's life in danger, according to a January 3 report by Houston staff.

 

Bevin Gordon, who is in charge of health in the area, was called to the scene after receiving a tip-off from the child. Luckily for the boy, he was healthy.

The woman was taken to jail after being arrested but was released on Sunday after paying $ 1,500 bail.
