Afghanistan: Special unit of commandos tasked with protecting the capital Kabul - PHOTOS

The new Islamic State-led Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has taken over the Badri 313, a special force with heavy equipment dominated by looted troops.

The name of the Taliban commandos is said to have high-level training comparable to other special forces in the region such as India and Pakistan, derived from the battle of Badr of the Prophet Muhammad on March 13 in 624 after the birth of Jesus.

Following the capture of Kabul, it was announced on August 21 that the 313rd Badri Battalion was to be deployed to protect various key locations in the capital, Kabul.

 

As seen in the photos, this unit is armed with US army tools like automatic guns and Hamvees cars they confiscated from former Afghan forces.
